ABOUT US

Welded Dragon Studios is a small business run from Cary North Carolina. We like to say that everything is better with a little rust and sawdust, and we wholly embody that statement. We think that this world could use more creativity and art and embody that through our metalworking, woodworking, foamsmithing and everything else that our prismatic artists can think up.

Our Team Emma Frega & Peter Feldtmann

Emma & Peter are the founders of Welded Dragon Studios. Emma gained her love for art and metalworking from her father, and has combined that with the whimsical fantasy she finds herself in during renfaires & LARP. From welding to woodworking, she is always looking to learn a new skill.

Peter graduated with his PhD in Material Sciences and Engineering, specifically Metallurgy in 2022. His technical approach and attention to detail keeps the behind-the-scenes running.

We are rather eclectic in the things we create. From foam swords for LARPing and cosplay, metal armor for reenactors, yard sculptures, cutting and charcuterie boards, chain & scale mail jewelry & even custom sewn costuming for a jousting horse, we always have something interesting in the works. Welded Dragon Studios is a small business, and is locally owned and operated in North Carolina. We do not currently have an online store as most of our work is either commission based or sold at events as vendors. If you are interested in a custom commission, or having us as a vendor at your next upcoming event, please contact us.
